Stephen Decatur High School seniors Brandon Yusuf, Neah Purnell, Chloe Sass and Shane Cioccio served as the emcees during the annual pep rally celebrating the fall season. For the traditional senior walk-out, the seniors dressed in Disney themed costumes.
Stephen Decatur High School seniors Maya Knepp, Justin Hammond and Kyla Taylor, pictured with Principal Tom Zimmer, have been named Commended Students in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program for placing among the top 5 percent of more than 1.6 million test-takers on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
Stephen Decatur High School recently held its 2nd Annual Seahawk Application Week, which included college visits, career and military counseling, financial advice, writing center tutorials and on-site acceptances. Fourth-graders at Ocean City Elementary recently celebrated Maryland Day. They visited all fourth-grade teachers to learn something special about the state in which they live. To commemorate the day, these students wore their Maryland finest.
The Builders Club at Stephen Decatur Middle School completed the “Kids Helping Kids” project for the Maryland Food Bank. The Builders Club collected 1,580 cans of food. Dan-ielle Consigli is pictured picking up cases of donated canned goods.
The Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra (MSO) presented its “A-B-C-Me Play Program” at Buckingham Elementary School.
