Worcester Faces Sabres In Championship

BERLIN – Worcester Prep’s girls’ varsity lacrosse team fell to old rival Cape Henlopen in the regular season finale on Monday, but still have a date with even older rival Saints Peter and Paul in the Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference (ESIAC) championship game on Friday.

The Mallards had won four straight before Monday’s 6-5 loss to Cape on the road. Worcester still has one important piece of unfinished business to tend to.

The Mallards will face old rival Saints Peter and Paul in the ESIAC championship game at home on Friday. It’s always special when Worcester faces Saints Peter and Paul in any sport and girls’ varsity lacrosse has produced the most intense rivalry in recent years.
