Decatur Runners Strong In Bayside Meet

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity cross country teams turned in strong performances last week at the Bayside Conference championship meet as a team and as individuals.

The Decatur boys finished third overall among the Bayside Conference teams competing in the championship meet, with Kent Island finishing first and host Cambridge-South Dorchester finishing second. On the girls’ side, Decatur finished seventh overall as a team. Kent Island was first, North Caroline was second and Queen Anne’s was third.

The top finishers in the boys’ meet for Decatur were Cameron James (6^th), Jared Massey (10^th), Javier Hernandez (12^th), Jack Reimer (13^th), Matt Alvarado (24^th) and Brennan Holloway (51^st). The top finishers among the Decatur girls were Kailey Andrews (9^th), Peyton Dunham (33^rd), Lily Bell Baker (37^th), Laila Mirza (38^th), Dori Krasner (39^th), Isabella Bartholomew (41^st) and Maya Knepp (48^th).
