Decatur Runners Strong In Bayside Meet

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity cross country teams turned in strong performances last week at the Bayside Conference championship meet as a team and as individuals.

The Decatur boys finished third overall among the Bayside Conference teams competing in the championship meet, with Kent Island finishing first and host Cambridge-South Dorchester finishing second. On the girls’ side, Decatur finished seventh overall as a team. Kent Island was first, North Caroline was second and Queen Anne’s was third.

The top finishers in the boys’ meet for Decatur were Cameron James (6th), Jared Massey (10th), Javier Hernandez (12th), Jack Reimer (13th), Matt Alvarado (24th) and Brennan Holloway (51st). The top finishers among the Decatur girls were Kailey Andrews (9th), Peyton Dunham (33rd), Lily Bell Baker (37th), Laila Mirza (38th), Dori Krasner (39th), Isabella Bartholomew (41st) and Maya Knepp (48th).
