Hotel Gets New Look
OCEAN CITY – Located on Ocean City’s Boardwalk at 14th Street, the Commander Hotel is a prime spot for vacationers during the on and off seasons. With its growing popularity, the hotel is undergoing renovations to stay ahead of the game ensuring it can handle the influx of interest.
The owners of the Commander Hotel are near the completion of the massive renovation project that will give the rooms and lobby an updated look and add value for its guests. The hotel has been a Boardwalk landmark for 85 years, and the investment into this renovation sets the stage for the hotel to offer a contemporary and fresh design, with updated Wi-Fi and in-room amenities designed to create a first class experience.
Michael Hayes, who manages the hotel, said the necessary décor and amenities renovation will revitalize the guest experience during the 2016 season and beyond.
“The Commander family is proud to celebrate our tradition of great service and Eastern Shore hospitality. With these renovations we will be taking our hotel to the next level,” said Hayes.
Not only does the hotel have a focus on providing families a great vacation experience on the Boardwalk, they are looking to become a one-stop vacation destination. Last season, they added Grotto Pizza and Fractured Prune to the building and began offering eco-friendly excursions, kids’ night and paint nights. For the upcoming season, they are looking to host small events for guests.
