Local Youth Wrestlers Enjoy Big Weekend

WEST OCEAN CITY- Young wrestlers from the Eastern Shore Intensive Wrestling Club based in West Ocean City enjoyed another solid weekend last week with several placing in different events around the region.

The Eastern Shore Intensive Wrestling Club, under the direction of Coach Keith Tobin and his staff, provides young grapplers in the area with training and mentoring all year around in an effort to provide them with a foundation for future success. Throughout the year, the club’s wrestlers travel all over the Eastern Shore and beyond to compete in various tournaments and state competitions.

Last week, several team members competed in the 30th Annual Bulldog Wrestling Tournament in Laurel, Del. and returned home with more than their fair share of championship hardware. Taking first place in their respective divisions were Noah Reho and James Parana. Collecting second place finishes for ESIWC were Alex Koulikov, Nico D’Amico and Anthony Caruso. Turning in third place finishes for the club were Jagger Clapsadle, Dalton Deevey and Spencer Gaylord.

Also last weekend, the ESIWC’s Peter Snyder competed in the Maryland State Wrestling Association State Qualifier Tournament in Aberdeen and won first place in his division. With the win, Snyder qualified for the MSWA State Championship meet in Carroll County in February.
