Two Indicted For Assault Last Summer

OCEAN CITY — A Worcester County grand jury last week indicted two Odenton, Md. men on first-degree assault and other charges stemming from a violent attack on an unidentified victim in Ocean City last August.

The grand jury indicted two suspects, Wade William Korvin, 21, of Odenton and Terrance James Webster, 20, also of Odenton, on multiple charges stemming from an incident that occurred in downtown Ocean City last Aug. 18. The suspects have each been charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

Around 1:45 a.m., OCPD officers responded to the area of 17th Street and St. Louis Ave. for a reported assault. The officers located a male victim suffering from serious injuries. The investigation revealed the victim had gotten into a physical altercation with a group of unknown males who then fled the scene. Although police arrived on the scene quickly and searched the area, the officers were unable to locate the suspects.

Over the next several months, detectives from the OCPD’s Criminal Investigation Division’s Major Crimes Unit were able to identify Korvin and Webster as the two suspects involved in the assault. Detectives then presented the case to the Worcester County State’s Attorney’s Office, which secured grand jury indictments for both suspects. Korvin and Webster were both released last week from custody on $100,000 bonds.

The victim is reportedly still suffering from the long-term effects of the assault.
