Seahawks Fall To Unbeaten Bulldogs, 42-0

BERLIN- For the second time in as many weeks, Stephen Decatur’s varsity football team faced off against an unbeaten Bayside North powerhouse and for the second week in a row, the end result was basically the same.

Two weeks ago, the Seahawks faced always tough and unbeaten Kent Island and came home with a 27-6 loss to the Buccaneers despite being highly competitive for much of the game. Last Friday, Decatur faced also unbeaten North Caroline at home and fell to the Bulldogs, 42-0.

The Seahawks trailed 21-0 after one quarter and 28-0 at the half. After allowing 14 more points in the third quarter, both teams went scoreless in the fourth with a running clock and the Bulldogs cruised to the 42-0 win. The back-to-back games against unbeaten Kent Island and North Caroline likely represent the toughest part of the schedule for the Seahawks, whose record now stands at 2-3 on the season.
