BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s boys’ varsity soccer team beat Crisfield, 4-1, this week to give Coach Jamie Greenwood his 100th career win as a varsity coach.

The Seahawks have been dominating all season, compiling a perfect 6-0 record including five shutouts. Last week, the Decatur boys continued their season-opening perfect streak with a 4-0 rout of Wicomico followed by the 4-1 win over Crisfield last Friday.

Through the first six games, the Seahawks have outscored their opponents by a combined 26-1, the first and only goal allowed on the season coming from Crisfield in the 4-1 win. The win over the Crabbers was the 100th in his high school varsity coaching career for Greenwood, all at Decatur. Greenwood has been at the helm at Decatur for 12 years and has produced some great teams, but this year’s edition is shaping up to be something special. The Seahawks face Mardela on the road next Friday, followed by a home game against Queen Anne’s and a road game against Bayside South rival Bennett to close out the regular season.
