Worcester Hoops Open With Tip-Off Classic

BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s varsity basketball teams will find out early what their outlook is for the 2018-2019 campaigns this year when they open their seasons at the Tip-Off Classic at Indian River.

The Worcester boys dropped a pair of games at the Tip-Off Classic to start the season last year, falling to Laurel, 61-50, in the opener before losing to host Indian River in their second game, 66-45. The Mallards will feature the same start to the season this year with an opener against host Indian River in the Tip-Off Classic on Friday, followed by a second game in the tournament against Laurel on Saturday.

The Worcester girls split two games at the Tip-Off Classic last year, dropping a close one to Delmar in its opener, 48-44, before edging host Indian River, 29-23, in their second game of the tournament. The Worcester girls will face Indian River in the tournament opener on Friday, followed by a second game against Delmar on Saturday.
