Mallards Shut Out Salisbury Christian, 3-0

BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s girls’ varsity soccer team beat Salisbury Christian, 3-0 last week to improve to 2-1 on the season.

The Mallards blanked Salisbury Christian, 3-0, at home last Friday. It was the second shutout win of the season for the Worcester girls, who opened with a 1-0 win over Mardela in a non-conference game. Sandwiched in between was a 2-1 loss to Salisbury School back on September 8.

The win over Salisbury Christian last Friday was the first of four straight home games for the Mallards. The Worcester girls will host familiar rival Saints Peter and Paul at home on Friday. It’s always special when Worcester Prep faces Saints Peter and Paul in any sport and girls’ soccer has produced some dramatic games in recent years.

After Friday’s contest, the Mallards will face Gunston at home on Monday and Salisbury School at home again next Wednesday for Senior Day. The Worcester girls finish the season with three straight road games.
