Decatur Girls Clobber Crisfield, 52-22

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s girls’ varsity basketball team dominated host Crisfield, 52-22, on Tuesday to improve to 14-1 on the season.

The Seahawks jumped on the Crabbers early and often on their way to a 30-point win. Amya Mumford led Decatur with 18 points, while Lexie VanKirk added 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Sarah Engle also contributed with six points.

The win was the seventh straight for Decatur since returning from Christmas break. The Seahawks are undefeated in conference games and sit atop the Bayside South standings. The Decatur girls face county rival Snow Hill at home next Tuesday before a road game against Bennett next Thursday.
