OCEAN CITY — A few more details emerged this afternoon on the early morning bus crash between a Jeep and an Ocean City municipal bus at the foot of the Route 50 bridge, injuring three and snarling traffic entering the resort on the eve of a holiday weekend.
Around 8 a.m. Friday morning, the driver of a four-door Jeep ran a red light at Philadelphia Ave. at the base of the Route 50 bridge and collided with a southbound Ocean City municipal bus. The driver and the passenger of the Jeep sustained injuries and were transported via EMS to an area hospital. The city bus driver was not injured, however, one bus passenger required medical assistance at the scene.
The OCPD continues to investigate the accident and charges are pending.
