BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s girls’ varsity lacrosse team ran its win streak to five this week with a 16-0 rout of Wicomico on the road on Monday.
The Mallards enjoyed another successful week, beating Tower Hill, 12-7, last Friday, followed by the 16-0 romp over the Indians on the road on Monday. Worcester has now won five in a row and their record now stands at 6-1, their only loss coming to Baltimore-area power Dulaney during the Karl Wolf Tournament on Easter weekend.
The streak includes wins over Patterson Mill, also during the Karl Wolf Tournament, Salisbury School and Parkside. The Worcester offense has been firing on all cylinders during the streak, averaging over 14 goals per game. The Mallards face Calverton at home on Monday. Looming next week is a big game with old rival Saints Peter and Paul at home next Friday.
