BERLIN- Fresh off big runs in the state playoffs, local players from Decatur and Pocomoke helped the Bayside South defeat the Bayside North in the annual Senior All-Star Games this week.
On the boys’ side, the Bayside South rode a huge second quarter run to open a 61-37 lead at the half and pulled away for the 113-106 win. Decatur’s Torrey Brittingham led the South with 26 points including 17 in the first half. Pocomoke’s Tyler Nixon contributed with 16 points.
In the girls’ senior All-Star game, the Bayside South opened a 21-point lead early and never looked back in the 101-47 rout of the Bayside North. Pocomoke’s Dyneisha Christian led the South with 25 points. Decatur’s Dayona Godwin, who blew past the school’s career scoring mark this year, finished with 22 points in the senior All-Star game.
