Decatur Boys Improve To 7-2 On Season

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s boys’ varsity basketball team got back to business in the Bayside Conference on Tuesday with a 81-41 rout of Snow Hill on the road and are now poised for a big run in the second half of the season.

The Seahawks ran out to a 5-0 start before dropping its first game of the season against Pocomoke in an early battle of conference heavyweights on December 21. Decatur acquitted itself well at the Governor’s Challenge in Salisbury during the holiday break, splitting a pair of games against tough competition.

The Seahawks beat Battlefield of Virginia in the Governor’s Challenge opener, then fell to Bowie in its second tournament contest. With the holidays dispensed with and school back in session, Decatur got back to business in the Bayside Conference with a road game against Snow Hill on Tuesday and routed the Eagles, 81-41.
