Worcester Girls Down Holly Grove, 39-17

BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s girls’ varsity basketball team beat Holly Grove, 39-17, on Monday to improve to improve to 4-3.

The see-saw, win one, lose one season continued for the Mallards with the win over Holly Grove on Monday. After winning its first two games of the season, the Mallards have alternated between losses and wins for the last four games. Against Holly Grove, Melissa Laws led the way with eight points and five rebounds. Leigh Lingo was all over the score book with seven points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Gracie Garder scored six points and added 10 rebounds and five blocked shots. The Mallards are now off for the holiday break and will return to action with a home game against Gunston on January 6.
