Worcester Boys Split First Two Games

BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s boys’ varsity basketball team lost to visiting Broadwater Academy, 61-43, on Monday to even its record at 1-1 on the young season.

The Mallards cruised past Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference (ESIAC) rival Gunston on the road last Friday in the season opener, but fell to Broadwater, 61-43, in the home opener on Monday. The Worcester boys will compete in the Indian River Tip-Off this weekend with an opener against Laurel at 6 p.m. on Friday, followed by a contest with host Indian River at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
