BERLIN- The 8th Annual Reindeer Run, sponsored by Live Long Fitness, is set to return on Saturday with an early morning start time through downtown Berlin.
The annual race, which has become a fixture on the local holiday schedule since its inception seven years ago, starts and finishes at the Atlantic Hotel with the course winding its way through the heart of the downtown area. The course heads down Main Street around the Worcester Prep campus and the Northern Worcester County Athletic Complex before finishing back in front of the hotel on Main Street.
With the town decorated, the event is a perfect kick-off to the holiday season. The event is very family-friendly with food, drinks, a bake sale, carriage rides beginning at 11 a.m. and even Santa. Fundraising has been set up for Worcester Youth and Family Counseling Services. The 5K start time is 9 a.m. with a one-mile fun run set to start at 10 a.m.
