• In its ads, Garland Lane Shoppe, Ltd. was marketing its two resort locations – in the Gold Coast Mall and in Phillips Square on 21st Street.
• Apartments in “The Unmistakable Antiqua” on 85th Street were priced starting in the $40,000 range. The ad read, “If you’re not ordinary, you’ll like it immediately.”
• Fager’s Island topped the entertainment pages with “Pacific Orchestra” set to appear from Key West, Fla.
• The Allegheny Commuter air carrier service was offering daily flights from Salisbury to Baltimore, Washington, Philadelphia and Hagerstown.
• WKHI-FM was announced as “Ocean City’s NEW 50,000 watt stereo radio station operating 24 hours a day at 100 on your FM dial.”
• Weekend brunch at the Carousel Hotel was being offered for $5.95.
• The “Back of the Rack” billed itself as “Ocean CIty’s No. 1 Rock Club” on 66th Street.
• In its ad, Tio Gringo’s showed its clever side, saying, “Famous Since 1978.”
• On the back page was an ad for the “Gazebo Nite Club” on 14th Street and the bay.
