OCEAN PINES — The Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and staff announced the 2015 award recipients that will be recognized at the 16th Annual Awards and Installation Banquet to be held on Oct. 15 at the Ocean Pines Yacht Club.
The award recipients are 2015 Ocean Pines Business of the Year, Ayers Creek Adventures; 2015 Ocean Pines Citizens of the Year, Bob & Kelli Beck of DeNovo’s Trattoria; and 2015 Ocean Pines Non-Profit Organization of the Year, sponsored by the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, Diakonia, Inc.
The community is invited join in the celebration as these local award winners are honored for their accomplishments and contributions to the local community during the Harvest Ball annual banquet. Guests will enjoy a delicious dinner entrée of Roast Beef, Chicken Marsala or Swai Fish, vegetable medley, steamed rice and homemade desserts and fruit and cheese platter during cocktail hour.
The awards ceremony will be held in conjunction with the Installation of the 2015/2016 Board Members and officers: Incoming President Amy Unger of Atlantic General Hospital; Outgoing President Anna Giles of Merrill Lynch; Vice President Will Cathell of Williams, Moore, Shockley & Harrison LLP; Treasurer Celeste Miller of Farmer’s Bank of Willards; Secretary Lee Ann Gunning of Wor-Wic Community College; and Board Directors Heather Shaner of M&T Bank and Michael Mathers of Law Firm of Michael B. Mathers, P.A. along with two new board members, Teresa Travatello of the Ocean Pines Association and Patty Dundore of American Granite and Tile, Inc.
The chamber would like to pay tribute to outgoing Board members, Gwen Cordner of Acquest Title Services, Inc., who has served on our Board for six years, and Larry Leese of Larry Leese & Associates, PA, who has served for four years.
