Summer Crab Race Series To Benefit Believe In Tomorrow

OCEAN CITY — Buddy’s Crabs & Ribs in Ocean City on Wicomico Street has announced a Summer Crab Race Series to benefit the Believe in Tomorrow National Children’s Foundation and the Children’s House by the Sea on 66th Street.

Buddy’s Crabs & Ribs will produce and host 14 evenings that will take place on Wednesdays through Sept. 9. Every Wednesday evening, with the first held this week, Buddy’s OC will host and welcome “Believers” to an evening of live entertainment featuring Angeline and Joey Saah, drink and food specials, silent auctions, and at 8:30, the highlight of the evening will be the Buddy’s OC Hard shell Crab Race. All auctions and Crab Race proceeds will be donated to the Children’s House by the Sea in Ocean City.

To encourage “Believers” in attending every Believe in Tomorrow’s Wednesday Nights at Buddy’s OC, there will be a running tally of attendees and their “Crab Race Picks”. He or she who picks the most winners over the series will win a crab fest from Buddy’s in September.

“We are excited to not only be part of Children’s House by the Sea, but to be able to conceptualize and host a series of evenings benefiting the Believe in Tomorrow Children’s Foundation, is truly an hour to me” said Buddy’s OC General Manager Joe Sinkaus. “The evenings will be a casual and fun atmosphere for adults and families alike. We are going to have live entertainment and offer discounted drink and food specials to encourage current and new supporters to join us on our deck while raising funds for an organization that is there for so many families.”

Since 1986, Believe In Tomorrow has provided over 600,000 individual overnight accommodations, from every state in the U.S. and more than 76 countries worldwide. The unique hospital housing, respite housing and Hands on Adventures programs serve as a support system for when families need it most. Believe In Tomorrow Children’s Foundation provides exceptional hospital and respite housing services to critically ill children and their families. Their unique programs bring comfort, hope, and joy to children and their families, enabling them to renew their spirits mentally and physically.
