BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s boys’ varsity basketball team beat Crisfield, 72-27, on Monday for just its second win this month.
The young, but talented Seahawks continued to scuffle somewhat during the course of the week, falling to Bayside South rival Wicomico, 72-45, last Thursday before dropping another one to Indian River, 65-57, on Saturday. Decatur got off the snide on Monday with the 72-27 rout of the depleted Crabbers. Tyree Henry led the Seahawks with 17 points, while Jaron Johnson pitched in 16 points.
The Seahawks, now 5-8 in the regular season, travel to Somerset next week for a rematch against Crisfield on Tuesday followed by a game at Washington next Thursday. Decatur has two home games remaining against Snow Hill and Bennett before closing out the regular season on the road against Kent Island.
