Sandra J. Reno
SELBYVILLE, Del. — Sandra J. Reno, age 71, of Selbyville, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
She was born in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Schmidt) Pangle.
She graduated from Baldwin High School in Whitehall, Pa. in 1961 and then completed her training and became a flight attendant for Allegheny Airlines based at Washington National Airport. She later worked in administration for the Century 21 Regional Office in Tysons Corner, Va.; as a caterer with Food for All Seasons in Falls Church, Va.; and in Administration for Stein, Mitchell & Mezines in Washington, D.C. She moved to the Ocean City area with her husband in 1999 to be near the beach and locally was employed by Ocean City Convention Center, Ocean Pines Yacht Club and the Carousel Hotel.
She is survived by her husband, Richard J. Reno of Selbyville; two sons, Mark Angelus (Beth) of Chantilly, Va. and David Angelus of Oakton, Va.; a step-son, Jonathan Reno (Patty) of Charles Town, W.Va.; two brothers, John Pangle (Patti) and Paul Pangle (Annette) of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Deborah Sachs (Lee) of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. and Lisa Pangle of Chicago; two grandchildren, Jacob Angelus and Caroline Angelus; and two step-grandchildren, Brianna Reno and Michaela Reno.
Sandy was a loving, caring person who deeply loved her children, grandchildren and her extended family. Her wide circle of friends knew that Sandy would always be there for them. She will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10 at Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville with Father Ralph Castelow officiating. Friends may call from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Donna Laine Harmon Shea
OCEAN CITY — Donna Laine Harmon Shea, 73, died at her home in Ocean City, on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014.
Born on May 28, 1941 in Berlin, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Porter and Julia Todd Harmon.

She was a 1959 graduate of Stephen Decatur High School. Following graduation, she earned a diploma in nursing at Peninsula General Hospital School of Nursing in 1963. Donna worked as a Registered Nurse at various institutions until her retirement in 1993. She was an active member of Wicomico Chapter #91, Order of the Eastern Star, where she held many offices and was a Past Matron.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Jill Raukko, and a special cousin, Brenda Williams.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Theodore Shea, II; three sons, Theodore Shea, III of Ocean City, Todd Shea and his wife Jennifer of Germantown, Md. and Owen Shea of Salisbury; one grandson, Gavin Shea; and several aunts and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Salisbury, friends called one hour prior to the service. A visitation was held on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015 at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury from 5-8 p.m. with an Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. Entombment was in Wicomico Memorial Park.

Catherine Eleanor Klotz Del Priore Badlik
SALISBURY — Catherine Eleanor Klotz Del Priore Badlik, 85, died Monday, Dec. 29 at Chesapeake Cottage Assisted Living in Snow Hill.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late William Klotz and Alice Lohnmann.

She is survived by her children, Linda Del Priore and Gary Del Priore of Glen Burnie, Donna Del Priore- Olson of Salisbury and Pete Del Priore of Glen Burnie; five grandchildren, Tim, Terri, Sabrina Christina and Ashley; six great grandchildren; son-in-law, Melvin Olson of Salisbury; and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Del Priore.
Also surviving are her brothers, Richard Lohmann of Freeport, N.Y., Andrew Friend and John Lohmann of Crystal River, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
A service was held at the Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery Chapel in Hurlock.

Ruth Roland Nicholson Steimer
SALISBURY — Ruth Roland Nicholson Steimer, 92 of Salisbury, died on Dec. 30, 2014 at Atlantic General Hospital.
Born in Chincoteague, Va., she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Eliza Gardner Lank Nicholson.
She was a member of the Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene and a former member of the Rebecca Lodge, C&P Telephone Union and the Gideon’s. She was also a former Brownie Scout Leader and a volunteer teacher for the Child Evangelism Fellowship Ministries. She worked for C&P Telephone in Berlin for 15 years as an operator from 1945-1960, then as a secretary for Foremost Dairy’s in Guam from 1960-1972, then as a bus monitor for the Worcester County Board of Education from 1982-1985 and then as a substitute teacher for the Salisbury Christian School from 1988-1994.
She is survived by her son, Terry L. Steimer and his wife, Maggie of Ocean City; three grandchildren, Terry L. Ludlum of Holden Beach, N.C., Cathy Lynn Steimer of Salisbury and Kimberly Sue Steimer Mason and her husband Lee of Smithfield, N.C.; two great grandchildren, Tabatha Lynn Roessler and her husband C.J. and Billy Root, Jr.; and two great, great grandchildren, Paisley Roessler and Allison Wendy Mason.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Steimer, Sr. in 2000; a son, William G. Steimer, Jr. in 1997; and nine brothers and sisters.
A funeral service was held Jan. 3 at Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Ronald G. Parker officiated. Interment followed at the Pittsville Cemetery.

Kathryn “Kitty” Donnelly Maitha
SALISBURY — On Jan. 5, 2015, Kathryn “Kitty” Donnelly Maitha passed peacefully at Coastal Hospice at the Lake surrounded by her daughters.
Born in Delmar on Nov. 7, 1927, daughter of Edward J. Donnelly Sr. and Estella Conway Donnelly, Kitty was the youngest of four children. Her sisters, Mary Calloway Brasure amd Agnes Windsor, and brother, Edward Donnelly Jr., preceded her in death.

Kitty graduated from Salisbury Teacher’s College in 1949. She met her husband, Kermit David Maitha, of Langhorne, Pa., and they were married for 49 years until Kermit’s passing. Together they retired to Ocean City in 1987.
Kitty is survived by her daughters, Karen Maloch (Paul) Langhorne, Pa., Kim Lynch (Charles Derrickson) Selbyville, Del. and Kelley Green (Larry) Parsonsburg. Kitty was preceded in death by her grandson, Darron Green, and is survived by grandsons, Michael Maloch (Janelle) and Matthew Maloch. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Allyssa Green, and great-granddaughter, who was the joy of her heart, Kaydence Rae Burrell. She is also survived by Ina Rae Foskey (Roland), Hunter Calloway (Lynn) and Pat Frost (Joe) and several great nieces and nephews.
Kitty taught elementary school for 37 years, receiving several commendations as a model teacher, having touched the lives of hundreds of young people. Being generous in heart, Kitty was actively involved in numerous community and civic organizations, both in Langhorne, Pa. and Ocean City.

BERLIN — Joseph M. Klemkowski passed away suddenly on Dec. 27, 2014.

He was the beloved Son of Johanna L. “Susan” Klemkowski (nee Wachter) and the late Jerome S. “Jerry Klemkowski, Jr. He was the loving father of Darla and Kristy L. Klemkowski and loving brother of Matthew F. Capp and his wife, Mary, Jerome S. “Jerry” Klemkowski, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, and the late Gregory P. and John R. Klemkowski. He is also survived by three grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services and interment will be private. Family will be having a Celebration of Life in Memory of Joe at the Joan Jenkins/Atlantic Club, 11827 Ocean Gateway, West Ocean City Md. 21843 on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015 from 2-5 p.m.
Irvin Charles Shockley, Sr.
BERLIN — Irvin Charles Shockley, Sr. 85, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Snow Hill, he was the son of the late Howard and Marcie Holland Shockley.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Marie Schoolfield Shockley; his children, Ernest Shockley of Milton, Del., Glenn Shockley of Los Angeles, Calif., Peggy Foreman and her husband Samuel of Berlin and Linda Sturgis of Girdletree; and a daughter-in-law Lottie Shockley of Berlin. He was preceded in death by a son, Irvin Shockley, Jr., in 1999. There are 22 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Addie Martin of Salisbury and Frances Tull of Fayetteville, N.C. and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Shockley had been employed for over 40 years at Martins Seafood Company in West Ocean City, where he worked as a supervisor. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Berlin.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 212 West St., Berlin, Md, 21811. Interment will be private for the family at St. Paul’s Methodist Cemetery.
