River Soccer Club To Host Family Fun Day

BERLIN- The popular and fast-growing River Soccer Club will close out its spring season with a Family Fun Day tomorrow, Saturday, May 31, at the club’s facility on Gum Rd. in Frankford.

The River Soccer Club, which includes several teams for boys and girls in various age groups and skill levels, draws players from all over Lower Delaware and Worcester County. The teams compete in different leagues around the region and in tournaments throughout the year. On Saturday, the club will host its annual Family Fun Day as a casual closure to the spring season and an opportunity for the young players and their families to enjoy games, activities, food and drink and entertainment.

The Family Fun Day also provides an opportunity for fundraising for the club. Admission to the event is free and the concessions stands will be open to provide food and drink. The event will include a DJ, a Moon Bounce, a new kicking wall with a radar gun, hayrides, piñatas, a cake walk, Plinko, pirate’s treasure, a Chinese auction, a bonfire and many more carnival games with prizes. The event is set for Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the club’s facility on Gum Rd. in Frankford.

The River Soccer Club will also hold youth soccer open tryouts in the month of June for players ages 8-16. The club is looking for boys and girls of all abilities to expand its youth travel program. In addition, the River Soccer Club will hold a series of summer soccer camps including a youth camp from June 23-27 for players ages 8-14 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will also be a Kinder Camp for players ages 5-7 on June 23-27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The River Soccer Club is also hosting a KYK Advanced Player Camp on July 21-25 with full- and half-day sessions.
