Decatur Girls Rout Vikings, Improve to 7-0

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s girls’ varsity swimming team stayed on a big roll last week, beating Cambridge-South Dorchester, 120-47, to improve to 7-0 on the season.

The Seahawks turned in several great team and individual performances as they routed the Vikings, 120-47, last Thursday. Among those winning individual events were Hailey Williams in the 200-free, Madison Tinus in the 50-free, Marley Rakow in the 100-free and Williams in the 500-free. Chloe Maykrantz finished first in the 100-butterfly and Carly Deickman also finished first in the 100-breaststroke.

The Seahawks also scored well in the relays. The team of Williams, Deickman, Tinus and Molly Wooten finished first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 206.93. Tinus, Rakow, Rachel Bourne and Maria Zweifel finished first in the 200-freestyle relay with a time of 1:54.96. Wooten, Bourne, Deickman and Williams finished first in the 400-freestyle relay with a time of 4:21.88.
