Monday, August 25 – Concerts Planned For Holiday Weekend

OCEAN CITY – Ocean City will celebrate Labor Day weekend  with two free Concerts on the Beach at N. Division St., just steps from the world-famous Boardwalk.

On Saturday, Aug. 30, catch America’s number one authentic Motown band, Dr. K’s Motown Revue and on Sunday, Aug. 31, enjoy Separate Ways, the Ultimate Journey Tribute Show. Both concerts start at 8 p.m.

Dr. K’s Motown Revue will take you on an amazing and accurate journey of the Motown sound, a musical explosion out of Detroit that mixed rhythm and blues with pop and soul. With such acts as Diana Ross and the Supremes, The Temptations and The Four Tops, Motown ruled the airwaves on the 1960s. Dr. K has brought together an outstanding array of seasoned musicians to recreate the most authentic Motown show.

Separate Ways brings the highest level of musicianship to the audience while showing a true respect for the music of the amazing 1980s rock band, Journey. Under the leadership of Steve Perry, Journey became one of the biggest rock bands of the ’80s with such hits as "Don’t Stop Believing" and "Open Arms." Separate Ways recreates this era in the band’s history with an accurate portrayal of the band right down to the subtle nuances and harmonies.
