Decatur Runners Strong At States

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s cross country runners acquitted themselves well at the state championship meet last week including a 34^th-place finish for Jenna Reimer.

The Decatur girls finished 17^th overall among the teams from all over the state competing in the championship meet. Reimer led Decatur with a 34^th place finish out of the 160 runners competing. Alison Alvarado was 112^th, Peyton Dunham was 118^th, Meya Chilengi was 123^rd, Rose Billings was 130^th, Maya Knepp was 145^th and Katie Hoffman was 148^th. On the boys side, Parker Harrington was the lone Seahawks to compete in the state meet and finished an impressive 88^th out of the field of 178 of the top runners from all over the state.
