Decatur Runners Strong At States

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s cross country runners acquitted themselves well at the state championship meet last week including a 34th-place finish for Jenna Reimer.

The Decatur girls finished 17th overall among the teams from all over the state competing in the championship meet. Reimer led Decatur with a 34th place finish out of the 160 runners competing. Alison Alvarado was 112th, Peyton Dunham was 118th, Meya Chilengi was 123rd, Rose Billings was 130th, Maya Knepp was 145th and Katie Hoffman was 148th. On the boys side, Parker Harrington was the lone Seahawks to compete in the state meet and finished an impressive 88th out of the field of 178 of the top runners from all over the state.
