Buckingham Elementary

Mrs. Moniodis’ third grade class, above, at Buckingham Elementary School recently participated in Schoolastic’s Reading Challenge. Once the class reads 100 books, Schoolastic Books will donate 100 books to disadvantaged children throughout the country.

Ocean City Elementary

Students at Ocean City Elementary School participated in Red Ribbon Week from Oct. 22-26. One of the activities during that week was a poster contest. Cedar Chapel Special School

Recently, special Olympians from Cedar Chapel Special School and Lower Shore Special Olympics, traveled to Mt. St. Mary’s College for the Special Olympics Maryland Fall Festival. Participating in the soccer tournament the athletes took first place, in double overtime, with penalty kicks. TJ Frampton is pictured dribbling toward the goal.

Ocean City Elementary

Mrs. Grace Mitchell’s pre-kindergarten students at Ocean City Elementary School conducted their science fair experiment on the number of seeds in pumpkins. Before they could start their experiment, they had to learn about the scientific method. Above, students Adham Labwam and Gavin Conner present the results of the class experiment.

Pocomoke Middle School

Fourth graders at Pocomoke Middle School have been studying Maryland. As part of our study, Ms. Parvis from the Delmarva Poultry Industry visited the school and brought chicks.
