Fun With Painting at Showell Elementary School

Brittany Schmidt and Justin Stull learn their colors the fun, messy way by painting color patterns on a pumpkin at Showell Elementary School. Identifying colors and simple patterns are skills kindergarteners learn as part of the Maryland Voluntary State Curriculum standards for math and visual arts.

Clifford Visits Showell Elementary Book Fair

Clifford, the Big Red Dog, visited students at the Showell Elementary Book Fair last Wednesday. Pictured are kindergartener Abby Yeager and third grade sister, Isabella Yeager. Students raised $2,207 by collecting coins in each classroom during the book fair. This money will be used to buy books for Showell Elementary.
