Berlin Intermediate School students took a musical adventure around the world with Nada Brahma, a musical duo from Baltimore. The performance made connections with the sixth grade study of world cultures as well as placing emphasis on world peace and cultural differences. Linda Brown’s second grade class at Ocean City Elementary School recently used raisins, mini marshmallows and gumdrops to make a tail feather pattern on toothpicks and attached them to create a colorful and delicious turkey. Students showed are Shiran Lazarovich, Connor Carpenter, Skylar Moore, Eve Watsky, Taylor Curran, Ashley Rosenblatt, Sivan Cohen and Dylan Bossalina.

Julie Biscoe’s kindergarten students at Ocean City Elementary School learned about Thanksgiving, the Pilgrims and the significance of the cornucopia. The class decided to write a Thanksgiving poem, create Thanksgiving foods, and use those foods to fill their own classroom cornucopia. Seventh grade students at Snow Hill Middle School were recently treated to a day with award-winning author Joyce Moyer Hostetter, who discussed what it takes to become a published author. With Hostetter are students Sidney Linton, Beth Bynum, Delaney Andrews, Becky Black, Kandis Kennedy, and Amirah Russell.

Members of Berlin Intermediate’s Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) organization traveled to the Snow Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
