Cedar Chapel Special School

Recently, special Olympians from Cedar Chapel Special School and Lower Shore Special Olympics, traveled to Mt. St. Mary’s College for the Special Olympics Maryland Fall Festival. Participating in the soccer tournament the athletes took first place, in double overtime, with penalty kicks. TJ Frampton is pictured dribbling toward the goal.

Students at Ocean City Elementary School participated in Red Ribbon Week from Oct. 22-26. One of the activities during that week was a poster contest. The winners of the poster contest were: first place, Gavin Harrigan, third grade; second place, Alexis Cantrell, third grade; and third place, Nick Ager, third grade.

Mrs. Moniodis’ third grade class, above, at Buckingham Elementary School recently participated in Schoolastic’s Reading Challenge. Once the class reads 100 books, Schoolastic Books will donate 100 books to disadvantaged children throughout the country.
