It was much cooler today than it was yesterday, but it was still a nice day to get out on the water and do some fishing.   The rest of the week looks pretty nice too so get out there and catch some fish.

I had a great trip with special guest Jeremy Kohr of Kohr’s Outdoors on board the Lucky Break with Captain Jason Mumford this morning for a new episode of Hooked on OC.  We did a little flounder fishing behind Assateague Island with no luck, but then we hit the OC Inlet and had a fantastic time with the tautog.  We caught and released over 30 short fish, we released three keeper sized females, we had a 15.75″ fish with no tail that just missed the 16″ size limit and we put one in the box for Lake Crisco.  It was a great time and should be a great episode of Hooked on OC in a couple of weeks.

Captian Jason and mate Wyatt Bostic turned and burned and did another trip right after we got dropped off and it was a successful one too.  This afternoon’s trip yielded one keeper flounder and one keeper tautog with several throwbacks of each as well.

Frank Cini was tautog fishing on the south jetty yesterday using green crab when he was surprised by this big 42″ striped bass that ate a piece of green crab.  The big rockfish was released after a quick pic.
