Another day of rain put a damper (pun intended) on the fishing in Ocean City today.  Rain showers that started in the late afternoon turned into heavy rain showers at around 3 PM and then it eventually cleared out.  It was actually sunny to end the day, but with more rain expected in the area tomorrow evening into tomorrow night I’m not excited about fishing opportunities for the weekend….and with the wind forecasted to pick up Saturday night into Sunday, the opening day of the 2016 sea bass season may get blown out.  The weather has quite simply sucked.

I did get one report today from Captain Victor Bunting fishing on board The Ocean Princess.  Captain Victor reported a slow tautog bite to start today, but did have luck at one of his final drops before heading home.  There were some keeper tautog that finally came over the rail and this beautiful 10 pound sheepshead caught by Jessica Attix of Smyrna, Delaware.

The weather actually looks decent for most of the daytime hours tomorrow, so let’s hope some party boats and private anglers get out and catch some Fish in OC.

Congratulations to our Offshore Fishing Trip Giveaway winner Amanda Harding from Preston, Maryland!!
