Small Business Grant Awarded

Bank of America Salisbury Market President Monty Saylor, left, presents a check for $81,250 to Maryland Capital Enterprises Executive Director Hayley Gallagher. The award was the result of a successful application to the bank’s Small Business Grant Reserve Program. The grant will leverage $875,000 to loan micro-business on the shore and in other areas.

Youth Athlete Good Sports Award

The County Commissioners congratulated eighth grade student Jack Myers earlier this month for receiving the 2010 Youth Athlete Good Sports Award by the Mid-Atlantic Recreation and Parks Sports Alliance (MARPSA). Avery Nelson, who was unable to attend the meeting, received the 2010 Coaches Good Sports Award.
