American Education Week was held throughout the country last week including at Berlin Intermediate School Parents, friends and other family members visited the classrooms to see just what it is like to be back in school. Students from Buckingham Elementary School recently participated in Reading Is Fundamental, which aims to encourage reading among students by distributing books to them. The monthly meeting of the Worcester County Garden Club was held at Bethany United Methodist Church Hall off Route 611. The theme was “Be Creative” with guest demonstrator, Patrick Hochmuth of Dried & Crafted Gourds. Pictured with Hochmuth are some of the club members with gourds they painted.
Art League of Ocean City
More than 125 people attended the Art League of Ocean City (ALOC) Starving Artist Supper earlier this month. Prizes for the holiday show were presented at the dinner. The Women’s Council of Realtors recently presented a donation to Diakonia’s Out Reach Program.
