Mallards Take Two, Remain Unbeaten

1/18/2013 | By Shawn J. Soper, Sports Editor

BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s boys’ varsity basketball team swept two games this week, beating Gunston last Friday and Chincoteague on Monday, to remain unbeaten on the season.

The Mallards’ record now stands at an impressive 12-0 after a pair of relatively easy wins this week. Worcester beat Gunston, 58-37, last Friday as Zander Farr scored a team-high 17 points and Harrison Brennan added 13. On Monday, the Mallards beat Chincoteague, 68-25, with Ryan Nally scoring 16 and Farr adding 13.

Worcester faces ESIAC rival Salisbury School at home this afternoon, the last game before the winter break. Worcester will face Salisbury School again on the road on February 6 in its first game back. After that, the Mallards have only three games remaining in the regular season, all of which are on the road, before the ESIAC tournament.
