OCEAN CITY- The Pit-and-Pub Assassins once again captured the Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department’s Adult Flag Football League championship this week for the sixth straight year.

The top-seeded Pit-and-Pub Assassins edged Delmar, 21-20, in a hard-fought, extremely close title game under the lights at 4th Street on Tuesday. For the Assassins, Tuesday’s title win was the sixth straight championship for the same core team that has swapped sponsorships at different times in recent years. Last year, for example, the Assassins defeated the EA Sports/Pit-and-Pub team, 22-8, in the league championship game.
