Major Coastal Highway Accident Hospitalizes 6

OCEAN CITY — Six people were injured in a three-car accident at 77th Street and Coastal Highway on Saturday afternoon during the height of a fall motor vehicle event.

Around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, Ocean City police and emergency services responded to an accident at 77th Street and Coastal Highway involving three vehicles. A total of six individuals were injured in the collision and required transportation to the hospital, but all of the victims’ injuries were deemed minor and not believed to be life-threatening. The accident occurred during the fall Cruisin event in an area where the special enforcement zone with reduced speed limits was implemented.
