•Received their degree from Western Governors University at its 33rd semi-annual commencement ceremony at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City on July 15 were Benjamin Rammer of Berlin, who received his Master of Science in Nursing – Leadership and Management, and Mary Mullins of Ocean City, who received her Master of Science in Nursing – Education.
•Katie Hofman of Berlin graduated from Mercersburg Academy where she was named a commended scholar (all grades of 85 or above) during the spring term. She will attend the United States Naval Academy.
•Danielle Gelinas, a member of the class of 2019 from Berlin, has been named to the spring 2017 Dean’s List at Loyola University Maryland.
•Saroj Khatri from Ocean City earned Dean’s List honors from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minn., at the conclusion of the Spring 2017 semester.
•Stevenson University student Logan Thumma of Berlin was honored for being named to the Spring 2017 Semester Dean’s List. Students who earn the Dean’s List honor must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a grade point average of a 3.50 or better.
•At the 150th commencement ceremonies at Frostburg State University in May, area residents among the nearly 750 total candidates for degrees included Zachary Ettz, of Ocean City, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology; Katherine Leung, of Ocean City, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work; and Erika Smitz, of Berlin, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies.
