Vincent Ferrer Ledwith
OCEAN PINES — Vincent Ferrer Ledwith, age 67, passed away on April 18, 2015, at his home accompanied by his children, grandchildren, and sons-in-law.

Born in Manhattan, N.Y., he was the son of the late Thomas Ledwith and Audrey Darlington Ledwith. He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Margaret Ledwith, and children, Patricia George and her husband Roy, Christine Schlosser and her husband Adam, and Katie Gribbon and her husband Kevin. He was an adored grandfather to three grandchildren, Julianna, Gavin and Bradden.
Mr. Ledwith proudly served in the United States Navy. He later worked for International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union #94 in New York, until he retired after 35 years. After moving to Ocean Pines, he became an avid golfer. He was also a huge Yankees/Giants fan. He attended St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Worcester County War Memorial in Ocean Pines. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his memory to Ocean Pines Volunteer Fire Department- Ambulance Fund, 911 Ocean Pkwy. Berlin, Md. 21811. Henry P. Heill, Jr.
OCEAN PINES — Henry P. Heill, Jr. died on April 11 at his home in Ocean Pines.

Born in Baltimore in 1928, the son of Henry Heill Sr. and Catherine Heill, Henry is survived by his son, Henry Paul Heill, III and wife, Jane S.; his son, Kevin Heill and wife, Jane H.; and three granddaughters who he loved dearly, Tiffany and husband, Jake Farley, Brooke and Morgan Heill. He is also survived by his long-time companion, Helen Collins, and several nieces and nephews.
Henry joined the Navy at age 18 to go off to fight the war. The war soon ended and he was honorably discharged. He married Winifred Wilkerson and they had two sons. Winifred passed away after fighting cancer in 1993.
Henry worked for the Albert F. Goetz Meat Packing Company as a union representative for workers until the company closed in 1975. He then worked as an Historic Mason for the Department of the Interior. His main job was at Ft. McHenry in Baltimore but he also worked at Hampton House, just north of Baltimore and had occasion to travel to Gettysburg, Pa. doing other duties as required, once tearing down an old barn and moving it to Ft. McHenry. He worked until the age of 70.
He lived in Lutherville-Timonium for 50 years before moving with Helen to Ocean Pines when they retired. Henry enjoyed golfing and was known as “Hammerin Hank.” He also loved fishing, owning a boat, “The Winifred R,” which was docked in later years at Harbour Island in Ocean City. He was a long-time member of the Kent Island Yacht Club.
Henry will be missed and is on a new journey now. No service is planned. Interment will be at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium. The family wishes to thank the Ocean Pines emergency responders and Coastal Hospice and neighbors during this trying time.
Marian Ellen Manning
OCEAN PINES – Marian Ellen Manning, age 81, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin.
Born in Ocean City, she was the daughter of the late Allen Mumford and Naomi Bennett Mumford.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Richard W. Manning, and her sister-in-law, Mary Lou Manning. She is survived by her daughters, Monica F. Hager and her husband Charles and Patti A. Smith, and her brother, Robert A. Mumford. Also surviving are her four grandchildren, Shauna G. Foote, James E Helwig, Jr., Thomas O Smith and Allen E Smith.

Fielding “Carl” Carroll Godbee, Jr.
BERLIN – Fielding “Carl” Carroll Godbee, Jr., age 71, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at his home in Berlin.

Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Fielding Carroll Godbee, Sr. and Barbara Porter Somers Godbee. He is survived by his children, Kristen Haupt and Karen Knorr of Harford County. He is also survived by his siblings, Barbara Kelly and her husband Jerry of Reisterstown, Nancy C. Lawson of Towson and Howard M.S. Godbee and his wife Joan of Abingdon. He also leaves behind his long-time companion, Linda DaSilvia of Berlin. There are five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Carl was baptized and confirmed at the Church of the Messiah in Baltimore City, where he attended Sunday school and church services. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching baseball and football games, especially the Orioles and the Ravens. He was very fond of animals, his macaw, KoKo, as well as several rescue cats that lived in his home.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin. Rev. Michael Moyer will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior. The family asks in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Worcester County Humane Society, a no kill animal shelter, at P.O. Box 48, Berlin, Md. 21811. Cherry S. Dudley
CAMBRIDGE — Cherry S. Dudley, 63, of Cambridge passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at her home.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 beginning at 6 p.m. at Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge. Officiating the service will be Pastor Eric Olsen. The family will receive friends the hour prior to the service.
