Worcester Boys Drop Two Late Season Games

BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s boys’ varsity soccer team hit a little late season snag last week, dropping two straight games to fall to 7-4 on the season with just one regular season game left on the slate.

The Mallards lost to Sussex Tech, 3-1, last Tuesday, then dropped a tight 1-0 game to Salisbury Christian on the road last Friday. With the two straight losses, the Mallards have now lost three of the last four after winning five straight in impressive fashion through the middle of the season.

With the late season swoon, Worcester’s record now stands at 7-4 with one regular season game remaining. The Mallards will compete in the Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference (ESIAC) semifinal next Wednesday and will vie for the conference championship on Friday, October 24, if they advance.
