Roughly 150 teams and hundreds of players from all over the mid-Atlantic region converged on the resort area for the last four weekend for the annual St. Patrick’s Indoor Soccer Tournament. From modest beginnings 26 years ago, the annual tournament has grown by leaps and bounds over the years and is now one of the largest events of its kind in the region.

The tournament got started back on the weekend of February 21-23 with the under-18 boys and girls divisions and continued for the last three weekends with men’s and women’s champions crowned in six different divisions. Last weekend, the tournament concluded with the adult men’s and women’s tournaments and the results were strikingly similar.

In the men’s adult open division, Three Brothers Pizza beat the River Soccer Club to win the championship, while in the women’s adult open division, Three Brothers Pizza also beat the River Soccer Club to take the title.

In the under-18 men’s division, Ocean View beat Delmar TNT, while in the women’s under-18 division, Rommel’s Ace beat the Lady Gators to win the title. In the men’s under-16 division, FCB beat Delmar TNT, while Rommel’s Ace beat the PHWM Wildcats to win the title. In the boy’s under-14 division, it was the MUFC Lightning beating the Fruitland SC Galaxy. The Fruitland SC Tigers beat Delmar TNT to win the girls’ under-14 division.

In the boys’ under-12 division, it was Real Rockville beating the Fruitland SC Fire to win the championship, while the Fruitland Jaguars beat Pipeline to win the girls’ under-12 division. In the boys’ under-10 division, the PHWM Attack Premier beat the Fruitland SC Revolution to win the championship, while the SFC Wallabies beat the Fruitland SC Chaos to win the girls’ under-10 title.
