“The $5,100 check represents the organization’s commitment to keep Carolyn’s life-long passion and dedication to better the lives of local youth alive,” according to Teresa Fields, WYFCS Executive Director.  “Our organization looks forward to working with the Community Foundation to ensure Carolyn’s life work continues for years to come.”

  1. As Carolyn’s Mom, it warms my heart to know and have seen such love and support from your community for my daughter and her family and to see the dedication in continuing the work that she dedicated her life to. Carolyn was committed since childhood to helping and giving, it was her nature. From the time she was in elementary school and came home one day and said she needed a check so everyone could go a school trip to New York(we organized a bake sale for a whole week instead)to her life’s chosen career as a counselor, Carolyn was about giving and motivating everyone to stand with her. Her heart was filled with love for your community and wanting to touch and empower the lives of children and families. As my heart heals, I thank you all for honoring her memory.
