“Home Of The Brave”

Distinguished Service Award

Tom Bickerstaff and wife Marian had the honor of presenting the prestigious Distinguished Service Award to Rev. Tom McKelvey, left, of Community Church at Ocean Pines on behalf of the Ocean City Rotary Club.  In addition, McKelvey and his wife, Karen, were awarded the status of Paul Harris Fellows.

Beyond Afterschool Academy

Berlin Intermediate School and Beyond Afterschool Academy students learned financial literacy from Taylor Bank this spring. Fund Raiser

On Wednesday, May 11, WMDT news anchor Ashley James and her dance partner Fred Spurlock previewed their dance routine at the River Run Golf Club in Berlin at a  fund raiser to support the Cancer Support Community Delmarva. They will be performing at the Celebrity Dance Off on May 21 at Salisbury University’s Holloway Hall.

Mary Ann Royal Award

Worcester County Garden Club member Betty Thompson was the recent recipient of the 2011 Mary Ann Royal Award, which goes to an outstanding member of the club.  The award was presented by last year’s recipient, Mary Ellen Jefferson.

Food Play
