Snow Hill High School Salutatorian Matthew Freeman, left, and Valedictorian Scott Baker were recognized recently by the County Commissioners.  Freeman will be attending the University of Maryland Baltimore City (UMBC) in the fall, while Baker, who will major in engineering, will attend the University of Maryland College Park.

Students in Kirsten Danisavich’s fourth grade class at Ocean City Elementary School wrote Fathers’ Day poems to honor their dads for Fathers’ Day on Sunday. Class members are pictured above.

Alyssa Alicea, Seaford, and Sarah Smith, Salisbury created a life-size portrait of Aurora, Roman goddess of the Dawn for their 8th grade Latin class project at Worcester Prep.  They invited fellow students to get their pictures taken with Aurora on presentation day.  The presentations culminated with a feast in mock-honor of the Roman gods.

Twenty-four students from Stephen Decatur High School had the opportunity of a lifetime to travel to Spain and France in April for 9 days of multicultural education. The pre-kindergarten classes from Ocean City Elementary School recently went to Assateague State Park to learn about the different animals that make their homes there.  Students were shown different animals in the nature center and then went to the beach for a scavenger hunt.
