Fourth graders at Pocomoke Middle School have been studying Maryland. As part of our study, Ms. Parvis from the Delmarva Poultry Industry visited the school and brought chicks. Mrs. Moniodis’ third grade class, above, at Buckingham Elementary School recently participated in Schoolastic’s Reading Challenge. Once the class reads 100 books, Schoolastic Books will donate 100 books to disadvantaged children throughout the country.
Students at Ocean City Elementary School participated in Red Ribbon Week from Oct. 22-26. One of the activities during that week was a poster contest. The winners of the poster contest were: first place, Gavin Harrigan, third grade; second place, Alexis Cantrell, third grade; and third place, Nick Ager, third grade.
Stephen Decatur High School’s Connections Club has established a Junior Red Cross Club named Decatur Lifesavers.
