OC Elementary Students Discover The Impact Of Strip Mining

Ocean City Elementary School students Leslie Hernandez and Sandra Pawlowska from Dr. Melanie Biscoe’s fourth grade class are discovering the impact of strip mining on the land using chocolate chip cookies.  They created innovative ways to mine the “coal” (chocolate chips) from the “land” (the cookie) causing as little damage as possible.
