HealthSouth Will Rebrand, Change Name

SALISBURY – HealthSouth Chesapeake Rehabilitation Hospital, a 54-bed inpatient facility offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, will unveil its new name and brand as part of its company’s name change and rebranding initiative.

Beginning Jan. 1, the inpatient rehabilitation hospital will be known as Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Salisbury.

To celebrate the new name and brand, a celebration event will be held for employees and invited guests on Thursday, Jan. 10 from 4-7 p.m. in the hospital’s central dining room, located at 220 Tilghman Rd. in Salisbury. The hospital will provide tours to visitors.

“Our new Encompass Health brand reflects more than the change of our name. It reinforces our commitment to working together to continuously improve the care we provide our patients,” said Steven Walas, CEO of Encompass Health Salisbury. “With a focus on clinical collaboration and strengthening relationships, we will continue to play an important role in making a difference in the lives of our patients.”

Volunteer Coordinator Named

BERLIN — Worcester Youth and Family Counseling Services announced the addition of Nina Tomaselli as the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program’s new volunteer coordinator.

In this position, Tomaselli will advocate for the best interests of children in the child welfare system. She will train and recruit volunteers to advocate for children who have been abused or neglected and she will provide ongoing technical assistance and advocacy support for the volunteers. The program serves approximately 50 children and supports as many volunteers each year.  As a member of the Worcester Youth and Family team, Tomaselli will also work as a member of the marketing team planning and organizing events and fundraisers.

Tomaselli has a strong background in project management and extensive volunteer service with a focus on social services and community engagement. She has chosen to make child advocacy and community service her career.
