Mallards Complete Unblemished Season

BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s girls’ varsity soccer team beat old rival Saints Peter and Paul, 4-0, last Friday to close out the regular season with a perfect 9-0 record including nine shutouts.

The Mallards were perfect during the regular season, running the table with nine wins and did not give up a single goal. Worcester outscored its opponents by a combined 47-0 during the regular season including a 4-0 win over the Sabres last Friday in the finale.

Worcester scored three goals in the first half against Saints Peter and Paul last Friday to essentially settle the issue and added a second half goal to close out the 4-0 win. The Mallards beat Saints Peter and Paul, 2-0, way back on September 21. Worcester is the top seed in the Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference (ESIAC) playoffs and will stay home through the championship game if they advance.
