Mallards Blank Royals, 6-0, In Finale

BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s varsity field hockey team blanked visiting Delmarva Christian, 6-0, on Monday to close out the regular season with an 11-5 record.

The Mallards jumped all over the Royals in the first half with five goals and led 5-0 at the intermission. Dana Anderson scored twice in the decisive first half and Worcester got single goals from Rylie Carey, Abbi Nechay and Carly Young, along with an assist by Anderson. Nechay scored Worcester’s lone second half goal as the Mallards closed out the 6-0 win.

With the win, Worcester continued its winning streak at three games and finished the regular season with an overall record of 11-5. After the game, Worcester honored its seniors including Anderson, Hailee Arrington, Virginia Bateman, Maya Natesan, Ally Elerding and Molly McCormick.
